Questions about mirrors
Which mirrors are suitable as an interior mirror?
You can use any mirror as an interior mirror; the use and your taste decide the choice. For a clear reflection choose a standard mirror, for atmosphere a bronze or grey tinted one, and for a matt look without a reflection a matt mirror.
What mirror thickness do I need for the bathroom?
For the bathroom you usually choose a 6 mm mirror. It gives less chance of a distorted reflection and is needed with a concealed mounting kit. If you stick the mirror to a completely flat wall with mirror tape, 4 mm is enough.
What mirror thickness do I need for a full-length mirror?
For a full-length mirror, 6 mm is preferred: the thicker the mirror, the sharper the reflection. If the mirror goes on a door or wardrobe door with mirror tape, choose 4 mm, because 6 mm is usually too heavy for that.
What mirror thickness do I need for my interior?
For an interior mirror, 6 mm is almost always a good choice: strong enough and little chance of a distorted image. For an extremely large mirror you choose 8 mm; for a mirror on a (cupboard) door with mirror tape, 4 mm is enough.
Which type and thickness of mirror is best for a mirror wall?
For a mirror wall, we recommend a 6 mm mirror with safety film. The film on the back holds the glass together if the mirror breaks. A 4 mm mirror bends more easily at large sizes and then gives a distorted reflection.
Are there coloured mirrors for the bathroom?
Bronze and grey tinted mirrors do exist, but they are less suitable as a bathroom mirror: their reflection is darker, as if you look in poor light. That is why they are deliberately not among our bathroom mirrors; there you choose a normal, clear mirror.
Why is my custom glass or mirror not packaged?
Because packaging is not needed with our transport. During transport, glass and mirrors stand in a rack in a special truck. That saves costs and is better for the environment. Packaging is available as an extra option, up to 1000 x 2000 mm.
Which thickness of stick-on mirror should I order, also for a cupboard door?
For a stick-on mirror on a cupboard door, 4 mm is usually the right thickness: sturdy, but as light as possible for the door. Small rectangular mirrors under 1000 x 1000 mm can be 3 mm, round and oval ones at least 4 mm, and above 1000 x 2000 mm you choose 6 mm.
