Which thicknesses of clear glass are available?
Clear glass is available in 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15 and 19 mm. Thin glass suits a transom window or picture frame, thicker glass a table top or a large glass panel.
Why does clear glass look slightly green?
Clear glass naturally contains some iron oxide. You see this as a slight green tint, mainly at the edge and in thicker glass. Extra clear glass contains less iron oxide and is more colour-neutral.
Can I use clear glass in a door or shower?
For a door, a shower or glass down to the floor, safety glass is required. Use tempered glass or laminated glass there; non-tempered clear glass is not suitable.
