How do I mount a full-length mirror?

How you mount a full-length mirror depends on where it goes. On a door or wardrobe door, you stick a 4 mm mirror in place with special mirror tape. On a wall, preferably hang a 6 mm mirror with safety film using mirror clamps.

Sticking a full-length mirror on a door or wardrobe door

For a door, choose a 4 mm mirror. You stick it onto the door or wardrobe door with mirror tape. Apply the tape close to the edge of the mirror. If you want to remove the mirror later, carefully cut through the tape with a thin knife.

Note: mirror tape does not stick to safety film. So a mirror you stick in place is ordered without film. More about mirrors for sticking in place can be found under stick-on mirrors.

Full-length mirror on a wall

On a wall, ideally use a 6 mm mirror with safety film, mounted with mirror clamps. This way the mirror hangs safely and you can easily remove or move it later. Preferably let the mirror rest on the skirting board. You can also stick a mirror to the wall with mirror tape, but then you will damage the wall if the mirror has to come off later.

Which thickness suits which spot is explained under which mirror thickness you need for a full-length mirror. You can order a custom full-length mirror via full-length mirror. If you are unsure or would like advice, feel free to contact us.
