What is float glass?
Float glass is untempered single glass that cools on a bath of molten tin after melting. This produces a flat, clear sheet of glass.
Clear, extra clear and coloured glass are all float glass. It is the basis for almost all other glass: tempered and laminated glass are made from float glass too.
