What is the production and delivery time of my custom glass or mirror?

The production and delivery time of custom glass and mirrors is usually between 7 working days and 3 working weeks. Exactly how long it takes depends on the type of glass, the processing, when you order and the fixed delivery day for your delivery address. In the odd case it can go up to about 5 weeks.

Custom work is different from a parcel taken off the shelf. After you order, your glass or mirror is made to measure, scheduled and delivered by dedicated glass transport. Delivering a custom mirror within 3 days is therefore not possible.

Indication per type of glass

These are the delivery times shown with the products:

• mirrors of 3, 4 and 6 mm, also tinted, antique or with safety film: 7 to 10 working days
• 8 mm safety mirror, double-sided mirror, see-through mirror and tempered SGG Mirastar: 2 to 3 working weeks
• clear and tinted float glass, satin glass, patterned glass and laminated glass: usually 7 to 10 working days, some types 2 to 3 working weeks
• tempered glass, lacquered glass (untempered and tempered), tempered laminated glass and HR++ glass: 2 to 3 working weeks

Count on the delivery time shown with the product. Sometimes your order is ready sooner, especially if you collect it in Oosterhout, but we cannot promise that: it depends on the planning at the factory and the route. These times apply to simple shapes, with flat polished edges all round and/or a bevelled edge, based on delivery. They are indicative; no rights can be derived from them.

Busy periods: construction holiday and Christmas

During the construction holiday (bouwvak) and the Christmas period, many glass factories are closed. In the weeks before and after, it is extra busy and delivery times go up; count on about 1 week of extra production time. In the week of Christmas and the week of New Year we do not deliver glass. Those weeks do not count as working weeks, so you need to add them to the delivery time. All in all, your order can take 2 to 3 weeks longer than normal around the holidays.

During the construction holiday there is also a period of about 1 week without deliveries. Take into account the construction holiday of the South region. If you want your glass on time, order well in advance.

Delivery planning

Once your order is ready, we deliver it by special glass transport according to a fixed route schedule per postcode area. We come to the town of your delivery address once a week. If your order is just not ready when we are driving in your region, the delivery moves on by a week. The route planning can be found on the delivery and collection page. We do our best to keep the delivery time as short as possible.

Is collecting faster?

Not necessarily. If you choose to collect from one of the collection points, your order will not be ready any sooner. Many collection points receive their glass from a central production site. The delivery time is then the same, and sometimes a little longer if the glass comes from another manufacturer that needs more time for the order and production. In the week of Christmas and of New Year you cannot collect, and most collection points are closed during the construction holiday; this varies by region.
