These glazing blocks are 9 mm wide, 5 mm thick and 100 mm long. According to Dutch Practice Directive; NPR 3577; Nederlandse Praktijk Richtlijn; "eisen voor de beglazing van kozijnen, ramen en deuren in buitengevels") these blocks are best used with glass up to 7 mm thick. You use these blocks when your circumference is 5 mm. The perimeter clearance is the space you have all around between window and frame. With a block of 5 mm thick means that there is around 5 mm clearance. This allows you to position your window in the middle of the frame before applying the glass slats.

Points of attention:

tick-marks  Use this size glazing block for glass up to 7 mm thick and a 5 mm circumference clearance
tick-marks  Preferably do not place glazing blocks on top of each other to accommodate another circumference, but place 1 block with the correct thickness. Thinner blocks have less or even no drain and that is precisely the purpose of the blocks; ventilating and moisture removal
tick-marks  The glazing blocks ensure that glass is not directly on the frame. This allows moisture to drain away while maintaining the sealing of the insulation glass and of course also the frame. Therefore, choose the correct blocks and place them in the right way
tick-marks  The placement of the glazing blocks varies from situation to situation (for example, the glazing of a turning-tipping window is completely different from the glazing of a fixed window). Be informed to avoid placing the blocks incorrectly. Incorrect placement can lead to damage to the frame and/or glass!
