Bronze satin glass 8 mm is bronze tinted glass with one side etched by treating it with etching liquid. This etching gives a matte side on one side of the glass. This side lets light through, but you can't see through it. This glass is also called "frosted bronze glass 8 mm".
You can use this standard (not tempered) bronze satin glass for interior applications. If you would like to use this as a shelf in a cupboard, a shelf mounted with glass supports, tabletop or as windows for an interior door or gazebo, then we recommend you to choose the tempered version. This is based on the strength of the glass and safety requirements.
The edges of 8 mm bronze satin glass can be finished with polished edges and you can have a bevelled edge of up to 50 mm wide. When you need a bevelled edge made on satin glass, clearly indicate whether it should be on the matted or smooth side. When this bevelled edge comes on the matted side, the matted layer is grinded off and this part will be transparent so this bevelled edge has the same view as bronze tinted glass.

Points of attention for 8 mm bronze satin glass:
When the satin side of the glass gets wet, the glass will become temporarily transparent. Once the water has dried again, it will regain its original matt appearance. This is not a fault of the glass, but this is part of this product. You can't help it. If you have a situation with a wet and dry side, preferably place the matted side on the dry side You are responsible at all times for applying the safety standards and requirements applicable in your country! In the Netherlands, this includes NEN-3569:2011 (“Vlakglas voor gebouwen – Risicobeperking van lichamelijk letsel door brekend en vallend glas – Eisen” voor Nederland). For the production of custom glass, tolerances have been determined within the glass industry in terms of dimensions, quality and finish. These are industry-wide and are used by all glass companies. Please note that it is possible that glass may have a small size deviation (approx. 1 - 2 mm), and certain miniscule damages cannot always be claimed Think carefully about the right glass size. Size changes are no longer possible once your order has gone into production Within the glass industry it is customary to calculate a minimum area per piece. This is necessary because the handling of an order is always necessary and this prevents a glass plate from costing € 1.50, for example, while the actual production costs are much higher.
