Blue tinted glass 6 mm is a 6 mm thick glass with a blue tint. Blue tinted glass is used when you want transparency with a blueish tint. Glass can have a major influence on the appearance and atmosphere of, for example, a living room or office. If you find normal clear glass too light and boring, blue tinted glass is a good option. The blue colour in the glass ensures that the transparency takes on a blue tint.
This coloured glass is also called parsol glass. This glass is transparent and coloured through and through, we call it "mass-coloured glass". The substances that cause the blue colour were added to the liquid glass during the production process of the glass. As a result, the blue colour is embedded in the glass and it is colourfast. The rule applies to this type of glass: "the thicker the glass, the more colour intensity". In other words, a blue glass plate with a thickness of 10 mm is darker in colour than a blue glass plate with a thickness of 6 mm. Our glass configurator helps you put together your custom blue coloured glass. You can choose from different models, edge finishes and rounded corners.
The edges of 6 mm glass can be polished and you can have a bevelled edge of up to 30 mm wide.

Points of attention for 6 mm blue tinted glass:
- For the production of custom glass, tolerances have been determined within the glass industry in terms of dimensions, quality and finish. These are industry-wide and are used by all glass companies. Please note that it is possible that glass may have a small size deviation (approx. 1 - 2 mm), and certain miniscule damages cannot always be claimed
- Think carefully about the right glass size. Size changes are no longer possible once your order has gone into production
- Within the glass industry it is customary to calculate a minimum area per piece. This is necessary because the handling of an order is always necessary and this prevents a glass plate from costing € 1.50, for example, while the actual production costs are much higher. The minimum area to be calculated differs per product and is stated under the tab "More information" on the product page
